Sunday, jazz and brunch are always a good combo. The sun was shining the air was warm under its light and cool in its shade. My guest and other patrons all enjoying juices like mango puree and peach, both mixed with Champagne. Creating an atmosphere like please let this day not end and take us to Monday. I love days like this, good vibes, people and most importantly food. I frequent this shop often but never had their burger and today on their menu I saw the Brunch Burger. Sliced sourdough bread toasted to crunch. Crispy bacon, juicy tomato, egg over medium all on top of a burger cooked medium well covered in smoked cheddar.
Between the buns it starts off with 2 slices of perfectly cooked bacon. I love egg on a burger. To me it adds another element besides onions, bacon lettuce and tomato. I enjoy all those things but an egg is a game changer. It was cooked over hard. It was tucked between 2 thickly sliced tomatoes and right on top of the burger. I normally don’t add ketchup to a burger because everything listed on the menu the chef felt will provide all the flavors to compliment your taste buds. Although everything worked it was missing a little salt and pepper. However I enjoyed it, it was like a BLT with egg and burger, HA!
I will go back because its one of my favorite places in my hood and although I added ketchup it still was a great addition and not distraction.
